Shot to the Head and Boredom is Dead, Walking Dead 2

Our generation has been described by many with various definitions. We’ve grown up reading Harry Potter books to be later exposed to Twilight. We forget how to make letters because of e-mails, tweets, and instant messages. Most of us wear watches as accessories, and we don’t give a damn if they tell the right time. We know Clint Eastwood as a great director and not as Dirty Harry.

But the definition of our generation which I like the most is how zombies penetrated our pop-culture. Zombies in this sense can be compared to Midas’s golden touch where everything he touches turns to gold, or when Morgan Freeman is part of a movie and its instantly better.

Though some fantasies can be overplayed like vampires with long coats and werewolves with abs, I never get tired of zombies. I don’t really get the appeal of these brain eating undead, and why its so entertaining to watch. Maybe its how the actors react on the idea of a zombie apocalypse, or maybe it’s the idea of shooting someone you once knew. There a lots of things to like which most of us, admittedly or not, wish we could experience in real life.
These dilemmas are expertly portrayed in The Walking Dead, based on a monthly comic book of the same name. The series is broadcasted on AMC which is home to critically acclaimed shows Breaking Bad and Mad Men. In simple words, I like the show very much. I do not consider the show as the best, but lining it up with different entertainment media, its better than the Resident Evil movies, and addicting like Plants Versus Zombies.

It is now on its second season and is helmed by a new director. How it will affect the show?
