From this point on, I’ll suggest shows for you to pass your time before you shed your mortal shell. The very first thing you should watch if you love comedy and a little bit of complexity is Community.
Today’s American comedy shows are categorized in three. Funny, cult funny, and hilarious. Funny is when you watch, bag of chips in hand, and laugh or sometimes smile throughout the show. Cult funny is when a coy smile is always present on your face and an occasional laugh greets you along the way. Hilarious is when you laugh out loud for most of the show and if it’s a little merciful give you seconds to catch your breath. But it’s not done yet. After you’ve watched it, the after effect is like a virus latching itself to you and as you remember every witty line and every outrageous scene. You give out a laugh or two, sometimes even a guffaw with an after taste of a grin. One hilarious comedy show is Community.
Though as the seasons pass, comedy wise, Community was funnier in its first season. Is the first season better than seasons 2 and 3? No.
Call it exaggerated, call it whatever you want, I call it pure genius. This show is a unique gem within a sea of reality shows, singing competitions, and incompetent dramas.

The show utilizes whatever the world offers like feminism, religion, pop culture, homosexuality, alternate timelines, role playing games, even baking goods like better than sex brownies to create a very unique amalgam of pure wit and hilarity.
Community (NBC) is about Jeff Winger (Joel McHale) an ex-lawyer who tries to get his life back by getting a degree in a community college. He meets Britta (Gillian Jacobs) a unique righteous feminist who knows every card Jeff plays to get to her pants. Jeff then creates a Study group luring Britta to the library and to his surprise they were joined by Abed (Danny Pudi), Troy (Donald Glover, Annie (Alison Brie), Shirley, Yvete Nicole Brown, and Pierce (Chevy Chase). From that point starts the gut wrenching and face melting laughter ride Greendale Community College has to offer. Watch with caution, may cause hypoxia.
